Construct
 

Construct a pyramid with an old guitar.
You know sometimes I think you can’t see vary far.
Paint your golden girl with her crumbling bones.
Build a tumbling spire and call it home.
 

Brush of a shadow with your smash and shatter mind,
And chase the grave out on the tiles.
Take some random thoughts and make them rhyme.
Then burn to black with sunburnt eyes.
 

My brother in arms don’t let me down.
Just “smoke another cigarette and drown”.
I steal your song’s and make them mine.
Were unconscious all the time.

Broken Carival Blues
 

My monkey died and left me
with these broken carnival blues.
I’ll drag my feet across the sea,
but not in these big red shoes! 
 

 I have left the big top
because I’m not on the ball.
I’ve cut those logs,
I’ve licked those frogs.
I’m an organ grinder no more.
 

Is a nail in the hand worth two in the cross...?
